Continuing

Movement.

Thank you all for the prayers, emails, texts, phone calls and visits over the last two months. We as a family have been truly blessed and cared for by you and therefore by our good God.

Cap City has closed. We held our final celebration a few weeks ago, and stepped into the next season by celebrating Easter with our new church family in downtown Denver. What a joy it was to sing with others and watch 8 people be baptized into the kingdom of God.

As I previously mentioned we are continuing our journey living like Jesus freak missionaries here in our neighborhood. Ally’s business is flourishing and growing as a contributor to this. My schooling has moved into full swing where I have had numerous gospel conversations and prayed for both clients and classmates alike. Ministry is happening just as we hoped, prayed, and knew God would give.

And we moved! Although we only moved roughly 2/3 of a block away we are now in a home that suits our needs, is cheaper in rent, is much nicer, more beautiful, and is closer to some of our dearest friends and neighbors that we spend time with multiple days a week. God has really provided for us in tangible ways.

We are staying and continuing.

In the last couple of months we were also able to solidify a secure way to contribute to our transition year here in Denver. Our friends over Stepstool, a local theological / missionary support team beginning here in Denver, have provided a giving link that will allow donors to give tax deductible donations, and rest assured that proper accounting is done on our end. If you have any questions about this please reach out to me personally.

As we continue this year I want to say once again, thank you for your support and care. I’m not sure how many more of these letters I will be sending, but I trust that all who read them will be encouraged, reach out for clarity and encouragement, and continue to pray for us even without them.

Before we go, I wanted to share one last thing. In our celebrating both as a house church plant and with our new community I have reflected on some of the most beautiful things that we got to experience these five last years. Below is a list of generic sounding and very specific things that God has done. I hope that you too rejoice as you read along.

A (small) LIST: What I’m proud of from the last five years.

We as a church have experienced…

Tears shed

Second chances given

Trust restored

Faith built up

Joy received

Prayers offered

Prayers answered

Deconstruction in community

Reconstruction in the Spirit

Bills shared

Bills paid

Babies birthed

Couples meeting

Couples wed

The Gospel shared

…with friends

…with strangers

… and with one another

A car purchased

Churches united

Missionaries activated

Missionaries sent

Addictions broken

Relapses mourned

The word read

The Body broken

The Blood poured out

The cross remembered.
