Redeeming the Friend Zone

Friendship matters.
Un-obligated time “wasted” in a relationship of care and delight. This is the desire many of us carry into our daily lives.

Friendship with God matters.
In fact it is the primary way Jesus relates to his disciples (Jn. 15:15). Un-obligated time with Jesus and his people is the real friend zone.

“Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art.... It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things which give value to survival.”

— C.S. Lewis

Values

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.

  • “We want unity, but unity alone becomes dull; we long for diversity, yet diversity without union is chaos. We hate both boredom and chaos; we were made to long for union and uniqueness because we were created for a relationship with our trinitarian God.” - Dan Allendar, Sabbath.
